Eucharistic Adoration

WHAT IS EUCHARISTIC ADORATION?
Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us". During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist.
 
BUT WHAT DO I DO DURING ADORAITON YOU MAY BE ASKING?
Here are some suggetions:

• Adore and pray to our Lord present in the Sacrament

• Pour out your heart to Christ and adore Him

• Sit quietly and just “be” in the presence of Jesus

• Ask forgiveness and intercede for others

• Pray the Psalms or the Liturgy of the Hours

• Meditate using scripture

• Read the life of a saint and pray with him or her

• Pray the rosary

 
And remember, the Eucharist is Jesus truly present, in his body, blood, soul and divinity!
